Multi-platnum rock band the Goo Goo Dolls are set to bring their unique brand of wuss rock to the JPJ on Wednesday. “I hope Charlottesville is ready to rock,” says lead singer Johnny Rzeznik, “But you know, in a dreamy, rebellious-but-sweet, alt rock kind of way.” The Goo Goo Dolls inexplicably started as a punk band in Buffalo, playing with bands like DRI and SNFU. But they found their sound at the right time, pioneering the wuss rock division of the 90s alt rock revolution. The band became huge when their smash hit “Iris” was in the 1998 movie City of Angel
