Vaila McintoshThe new single, Rebel Beat, is definitely a fresh sound for Goo Goo Dolls. But despite a far more upbeat style than what is typical from the band, they have held on to their own effortless charm. The lyrics are strong and poetic, as expected from John Rzeznik, however the chorus is slightly disappointing. This though, is balanced by the song’s energy and the fact it demands you sing along.
